Cleveland International Beer Fest Billed as the the largest showcase and competition of world beers in the Midwest, it’s coming to the IX Center in Cleveland on May 13-14, 2011. You will find upwards of 800 beers from 200 breweries all under one roof. But it’s Saturday after turkey day… Nov 27, from 8 pm to Midnight. This coming weekend has two events for beer lovers. On Friday night is the 13th Annual Microbrew Extravaganza at Massimo de Milano in Ohio City (1440 W 25th St). This is a fun event, with a catered dinner, live music by Punch the Clown, and, of course, lots of beer tasting. This year the participating [...] BREW Kettle’s Jack Kephart won the medal for the best IPA, the best imperial IPA, and the grand champion of the festival was the White Rajah IPA! Full story here. The awards were also announced live on a web cast. Winners were: Hoppin’ Frog won the gold medal in the field style category for their Frog Hollow Double Pumpkin ale.
