As promised, here’s a list of licenses applied for, but not yet approved in Ohio. A1 licenses are required for brewing beer, ale, stout or other malt liquors. A1A licenses are required for serving beer or liquor on an A1 premise (although recent law changes allow for tasting rooms at breweries without the A1A now.) Blank [...] It’s been a great year for Ohio Craft brewing scene with many new breweries opening. I checked the Ohio Liquor Control Board to make sure I didn’t miss any. On April 30 & May 1, 2011, more than eighteen beer judges and nine beer stewards, participated in the 2nd Annual Denver International Beer Competition at the Omni Interlocken Resort, Broomfield, Colorado. Bob Weber, Little Mountain Brewing Co. owner BREW Kettle’s Jack Kephart won the medal for the best IPA, the best imperial IPA, and the grand champion of the festival was the White Rajah IPA!
